Warm Day

This morning was beautiful.  As we drank our coffee in silence, we watched hummingbirds and squirrels outside our windows.
Jilda looked at the petunias which are showing out right now, and just beyond them the purple Rose-a-sharon was blooming.
A local women's recovery house asked us to play a street-festival benefit. Even at 8 p.m. it was hotter than Hades asphalt. By the time I got home, I felt wilted.
We have another outdoors gig at 10 in the morning. Hopefully we'll be home before high noon.

  1. I hope you had fun. Singing in the heat must have been tiring. You do sound tired out. Hope you had a good night sleep and rested for today's gig.

  2. The heat has a way of tiring you out fast, but keep in mind it was not so long ago we were all praying for spring and summer to finally arrive...we had all had it with the past winter. By the way love to new pictures at the top of your blog and the "a must read" theme!

  4. Rick....I noticed that today was unusually hot, here. Sweltering!
And...I have also noticed that my hummingbirds aren't as plentiful right now as they were a few weeks ago. I'm wondering why. ??
The Rose of Sharon (althea?) is lovely. What a splendid color!!
