I went out several times today to try and shoot a picture for the blog, but the intermittent rain seemed to be in rhythm with my breaks so I came away empty camera'd.
So tonight I sifted through some older pictures to come up with one that would work. We'll be heading to the beach soon to celebrate our anniversary.
There are years we only get to go one time, but this is the second time this year we'll be southward bound.
Today was a long day and tomorrow will be even longer as I'll be doing an Information Session at the college.
I've practiced the presentation until I'm sick of it. Tomorrow, I'm going to do my best to relax and breathe. No matter how many times I do these, I still find myself getting anxious.
Y'all have a great Wednesday.
Who's that guy behind the Foster Grants?! Enjoy your beach trip. My son loved it down there! I saw a commercial on TV today for Alabama beaches...I immediately thought of you and Jilda! Just relax and get some sleep and I know you'll do just great on your presentation!
ReplyDeleteI like the sand and salt water.
ReplyDeleteI would bet once the presentation starts you get in step very soon and all is well. I think that is good (as long as the anxious, doesn't become real anxiety?)..
I think you will do just grand and all will be well. You already have made it South twice!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be great--enjoy the beach!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like your trip to the beach is just what you need. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that session will go just fine. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure if you know your subject throughly you'll do just fine. When I was teaching public speaking courses as a volunteer we were told not to memorized but to have key words to remind us what came next. No body can read your mind and they don't know what you're leaving out. When we get nervous, our memory seems to go into hiding.
ReplyDeleteA trip to the beach might be a great get away that you both need. I'm sure you'll do just fine.

It is wet on and off again here today, I can't remember the last time I went to the beach
