Wussing out

I feel like a three-week-old party balloon...you know the ones I'm talking about. The day you buy them the helium is strong enough to carry off dogs or small children. The first few days they stay on the top of the receiver's room as if they were attached to the ceiling  with a safety pin.

After about a week, they aren't as firm and begin to sag. By week three, they languish in the corner as if they'd had too much tequila. That's how I feel this evening.

I used to hear a lot about biorhythms and whey your biorhythms were low, you'd experience low-energy days. I'm not sure what causes it, but it seems to happen to me about once a month. I'll feel lower than a snail belly one day and the next day I'll be fine.

I said all that to say this, I'm wussing out tonight. I'll do better tomorrow.

  4. Welcome to the difference between experiencing the '60s and being in our 60s. You're doing fine.

  6. I get that way too. Just listen to your body and rest when you need.

  7. I do think our bodies do tell us when it's time to take a break and get some rest. Hope you are on top of things soon.

  8. When we first got a computer, we got a biorhythm program. We would enter the date of our birth and it would get the data of our biorhythm. We could see when our mental, physical and emotional rhythm was high and when they were low. On days when it was high it was a great time to do things but on low days we would exercise caution as that's when accidents were more likely to happen. I never checked to see if we still can get that type of program.

I hope that your biorhythm is getting back in synch soon.

  9. Every once in a while I get what I call "the yuckies". I have learned to just wallow in it because it will pass soon enough. Struggling to make it better only seems to intensify it. Time, that great healer, will take care of it.

  12. We had the gr-daughters for two days, then on Monday I was the balloon in the corner. It was fun, lots of fun, but the air seeped out.
