Walking down the path behind the barn these last few days brings the changing color into sharper focus. The muted oranges and ambers of the canopy become more pronounced with each passing day.
We took a misty walk this afternoon. The rain over the last few days was easing off to the east, but the lingering moisture made the trees weep.
The earth smelled damp, and rich with rotting leaves and limbs. Off the beaten path, the ground was spongy and I could see hundreds of mushrooms in the undergrowth. I decided to do a challenge offered a few times by one of my blog buddies which was to take a normal picture and one of the same subject with the Hipstamatic app I use so often.
You should be able to tell which one is which below. Your thoughts?
I'll take the first pic please! Love the color! We finally got some rain last night and just a little more today. My grass was so thankful! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteI like the artsy feel of the first shot and the realism of the second shot.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to take a look at what's happening in the underbrush.
Wow, that's a difference!!! I like the first one with its green hues!
ReplyDeleteWhat can I sayRick...,maybe I'm one of a kind. I'm a realist and I much prefer the second picture. I'm for real people and real picture. You can't really improve on God creation the way He present it.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm glad that you posted the two pictures, at least it shows us what Hipstamic app can do. You've been a good sport.
Thanks.
JB
I am so ignorant about photo's. I pick the second because it is clearer to me. I just came from Bonnie's 'Organic Discourse' and she was interested in a mushroom she was growing. I sure like the color. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe Hipstamatic app must be the first one--the colors just pop!!
ReplyDeleteI'll go stand in Julia and Jack's corner under your second image. Still, it's neat to glimpse the differences!
ReplyDeleteI don't know one from the other but both are nice. You found a colorful treasure.
ReplyDeleteI like the stronger contrast and colors of the first one.
ReplyDeleteThis mushroom must be poisonous because of the beautiful colours. I have to say I like both because each have different styles. The richness of the first picture with all the greens and the 2nd has the browns but with the green twig beside the mushroom. To be honest...my mind went right into the gutter when I first saw this mushroom. I know I'm a bad girl
