This week has been like summer. Today we noticed the dogwoods are beginning to bloom and if the cold snap tomorrow night doesn't nip the buds, they'll be showing out by the middle of next week.
As we set out on our morning walk, I noticed a yellow and black swallowtail butterfly on our blooming blueberries. Using my calming voice, I tried to get him/her to slow down for an instant, but that wasn't going to happen. Apparently he/she was as excited about the change in weather as we were. I snapped a picture but it was blurred, so I used the oil painting filter to art it up rather than trash it.
I got the final edits for my fourth book back today and I began designing the cover. I've asked a few people to review the manuscript so that I can include reviews on the cover.
Hopefully, it will go to press within the next few weeks and I'll have the printed books in hand by the end of April. It was one of my goals for the year.
On a side note, our St. Patty's Day celebration did not go as planned, but I'll let my lovely spouse give the details. You can read it here.
I am having one of those days, comments are not taking. I switched from Chrome to IE and it seems to be working (I have no idea what all that means, in reality, but it worked).
ReplyDeleteI love it when butterflies hang around. I always wonder if they know where they are going. Today I felt just like that. LOL
Nite from the back woods of North Carolina (this area is not much different than when Dan'l was here. Glad you finally had the Corned beef! ;-)
I love that phrase: Art it up. I may need to borrow that.
