Inspiration on vacay

Some days it's a struggle coming up with a topic. I rifled through a box of souvenirs, read a book of quotes, and flipped back through old pictures. Nada.

I sat gazing out my office window. I put on my dad's old welding goggles, and twisted the key on a tiny music box on my desk. I hadn't heard those tinkling tones in a long time. It didn't help, but I enjoyed those few moments of music.

So, I went back in my Google Photo archives to August of 2009 and picked a picture at random to post. And tonight, that's all I have. Maybe tomorrow inspiration will come back from vacay.

  1. Sometimes the blogging well overflows and some times it runs dry. It helps to briefly step away and give your batteries time to recharge.

  2. My mama said 'tis better to be on the horns of a dilemma, than the horns of Nellie. She was raised on a farm. starting in 1904!

  3. Your 'non-topic' was just fine. All of us have been there.

  7. Hey, you need to come up with a topic, just ask Jordan. I'm sure that young man has a handful of topics for you. Seeing the world through the eyes of a kid with different perspective can work wonders.

When the well runs dry, you need rain and Jordan is as refreshing as the rain...
Wishing you gushers of interesting thoughts.
    Hugs, Julia

  9. I like it when people post even though they think they have nothing to say. Readers can get insights as to the true nature of the author then.

  10. I agree Jordan should have a lot of ideas for topics, you can't go wrong with inspiration from a child.
