Just before we went to bed last night, the weatherman was pointing to the weather map saying the snow coming through this morning would be to the south and east of us. He said we could have a few flurries but that should be all.
I'm thinking the weatherman was hitting the cough syrup just a little too much because it started snowing and didn't let up until late this afternoon.
When I poked the ruler through the snow around 3:30 p.m. it was right at three inches. I know our Colorado friends would snicker, but it was a decent snow for us.
Samantha kept Jordan out of school and we played hard all day.

We did not have that much snow but we certainly had blizzard conditions with wind and snow for a few hours.
ReplyDeleteIf I don't have any plans, and am not caught on the road, I love the snow. We are due for this storm tomorrow, 4 to 6 inches, not much, but may be a fun winter.
ReplyDeleteOur grounds are bare and you have snow in the South. Now there's your Sunday column. Enjoy this wonderful gift keeping in mind our South Californian friends with the wild fires.
ReplyDeleteLove the snow pictures.
Hugs, Julia
Interesting that you have snow and we don't, although it was 27 degrees today and would have snowed if it had rained.
ReplyDeleteIt looks absolutely beautiful. A fairyland. And takes my mind to all sorts of enchanted places. Narnia to start with.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell we rarely get snow? And that it sticks even more rarely?
I love the picture of the snow on the tree branches!!
ReplyDeleteI especially liked seeing your snow pictures as you have it and we don't. Ha! I'm not so much a fan of snow... We usually have some all winter long, but for right now all is clear.
ReplyDeleteSnow is a thrill down south. Love the pictures ESPECIALLY dad's old truck. I cannot remember which dad. But the snow sure makes a good picture.
ReplyDeleteNever had a snow day because it doesn't snow here
