Jilda baked ribs, with potato salad, and baked beans this evening for the kids. After we ate, the kids went out back and played with sparklers. When it got dark, my nephew Haven shot a few of the bigger, booming fireworks. The dogs are not fans of fireworks, so Jilda and I stayed inside and comforted them until the show was over.
I hope you all had a delightful day.

I am with the dogs. Sparklers I can cope with.
ReplyDeleteI hope your day was a delight.
Dogs do have a hard time with fireworks, but the kids love them. Lots of fireworks going on here too. Some quite close woke me up last night. But it's great to celebrate and I didn't mind. We do live in a great country !
ReplyDeleteI remember a little girl and her sparkler ... today she's 20 y/o. Time's a thief!
ReplyDeleteYour day was much better than mine--I was in bed by 8:00!!
ReplyDeleteKids love the fireworks on the 4th. I love the thoughts myself, I even remember when one or two packs of 2" firecrackers MADE the 4th. I loved 'em litle fire crackers and maybe a cherry bomb. Glad you ad a good 4th
