Fun Ain't Cheap

This has been a froggy weekend. Last night we played at the Frog Level Festival which is in a city about 70 miles west of here and today was the Frog Festival which is here in our hometown.

I take pictures for the Frog Festival so even though my rear end was dragging this morning, I loaded up the camera and headed to the Festival. It was even hotter today.

I shot over 200 pictures in about three hours. At lunch, I went to my favorite vendor at the festival. It's a family that BBQs ribs, Boston Butts, and all things piggy. I got two rib sandwiches to go.

When I got home, Jilda was waiting. We ravaged those sandwiches.

I had my PJs on by 5 p.m. this evening. Bedtime will come before long.

This much I know for sure, Fun Ain't Cheap.

NOTE: Some of you asked last night for a link to the song I blogged about. You can hear it here on Youtube.

  1. It's not cheap and it's tiring but it's worth it.

  4. Ah yes, I know the new'wheel' tires you a good bit. I played the song, one problem with my Cochlear implants, tunes, tones and music are about gone. I miss 'em since I used to play the trumpet and know what they should sound like. Many voices still sound like ducks or comic characters, but I cannot get the full effect.
Keep 'em bearing greased and keep in mind the new 'wheel' is for life, let it be new ad grow. (Yeah, I know you need someone else telling you. hahahaha.)
    Sleep well down there.

  5. Time spent having fun is worth it all anyway! The heat can really tire one out. At least you got to enjoy some good barbecue. Hope your Sunday is a bit more restful !

  7. I really enjoyed listening to the song and I loved the music. I'm glad Jilda was well enough to sing. I hope your knees are getting stronger every day. Keep up the good work.

  9. That song is beautiful. Love it, thanks for sharing it here. We've had the same hot and humid weather but relief will be here by Thursday. Love your fall pic..so cute! I always tell folks that it takes about a year to really start feeling better after that kind of surgery. I remember how I felt and it does get better. Glad Jilda was feeling better and you were able to perform at the festival. Have a good Monday!
